The fifth (and final) book in the Fallen Cloud Saga has been completed and is available in both hardcopy and e-book versions.
I have released all five titles in this series—a second edition of Books I-IV—so newcomers don’t have to have mismatched books on their shelves (how annoying!) Also, I have returned FC:IV to its original title, The Cry of the Wind, which was deemed “too depressing” by the bean counters at Roc. So remember, The Cry of the Wind is not a new title; it was originally published under the title From the Heart of the Storm (ick).
If you’ve been a fan of the series, I know this will be good news. I am really very proud of this last and final book, and I want to share the first chapter, just to give you a taste.

Is the 5th book: Beneath a Wounded Sky not available in a mass pub edition ROC/Penguin as were the 1st four books??

That is correct. FC:V is only available in trade paperback (and Kindle). Roc/Penguin abandoned the five-book series after FC:IV, due to disappointing sales numbers. Hey, it’s a business, so while it hurt (a lot), I knew it wasn’t personal (though it sure felt like it).
I wanted to tell the end of the FC saga, though, so once I got the rights back, I updated and reissued FC books I-IV (also giving FC:IV the title it was *supposed* to have, The Cry of the Wind) in trade paperback format, including FC:V, Beneath a Wounded Sky.
